Q: What is the difference between dharana and dhyana?
Constant dhyana [meditation] is called dharana.
In Kaivalya Navanitam it is asked: 'How to destroy this causal body in which the vasanas are kept in seed form?'
The Guru replies, 'I am the absolute, perfect consciousness. In this perfect consciousness all universes exist merely as appearances.' If this dhyana flows in your mind, how can ignorance arise?
